Bells is one of Australia’s most iconic surf spots. The long, thick, and fast moving waves break over a sediment and reef bottom. The spot picks all types of swells from the southern ocean. The wave is typically a right, but different sections can emerge on different swells. The wave start working from 3 feet to 8+.

Bells Beach is also famous from the film Point Break. The two main characters fight it out on the shore at Brodie tries to paddle out in the legendary 50 year storm. It is a cinematic must if you haven’t seen it. One of Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze, and Nick Nolte’s best films.

The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach Surf Contest is held every year and is one of the major highlights of the ASP tour.
