In the mystical and mysterious “Lençóis Island” is located the Posada “Don Serafín” that offers a warm hospitality and delicious local cuisine.

The island is an ecological sanctuary that brings together at one place and at the same time the extraordinary, diverse and exuberant bird life with thousands of Guarás (Eudocimus Ruber) flying into the Mangroves, exciting epic legends like Don Sebastian King of Portugal, (1554-1578), who disappeared in the battle of Alcacer-Kebir in North Africa and appears here at full moon nights transformed into a huge black bull with a brilliant white star on his forehead thru the beaches of the island.

Is in the Island a fisher village that still lives at today in XXI century the tradition of the Tambor de Mina (afro drum mystical tradition) in its purest and simplest expression, the island is also known for having a substantial portion of people suffering albinism.
