The waters around the island hold one of the highest concentrations of shipwrecks in the world with 16 ships to explore! The highlights include Laja do Guriri, Ilha Jorge Grego and Ilha dos Meros

Water temperatures and visibilities range from good to excellent.

Ilha Grande is 1 hour 20’ away by boat from Angra dos Reis or Mangaratiba. It has 106 beaches and 365 smaller islands around it and countless diving spots, including caves and wrecks.
