The Royal BVI Yacht Club was established in 1973, the product of sailing enthusiasts who wanted a place where sailors could meet, swap stories, enjoy themselves and most importantly sail!

Their members enjoy access to these clubs and they similarly welcome members from them when they visit the BVI. Visiting sailors to the BVI also enjoy temporary membership of the RBVIYC for a limited period during their time in the BVI.

They are also the National Authority for sailing in the BVI. This means they oversee the development of sailing in the islands and sailing activities in general. As National Authority they also issue sail numbers for boats and yachts registered in the BVI. Please contact them should you wish to obtain and register a BVI sail number.
