Description

Great place to get some authentic Chamorro food. On Wednesday and Friday evenings there’s a BBQ, farmer’s market and open air market where you can pick up local souvenirs, great BBQ meats, coconut juice and tuba.

Located next to the Hagatna Boat Basin and Paseo Stadium, the Chamorro Village offers visitors a glimpse into the island’s culture, lifestyle and cuisine. This little shopping “village” features a variety of local foods and handicrafts. Vendors sell everything from clothing to handicrafts, bananas to betel nuts. And the aroma of freshly cooked local foods emanates from small booths where cooks stir steaming pots of seafood, fried chicken, pancit, barbecued ribs, and other delicacies. The market is a popular lunch spot for the locals as well as visitors, with complete meals usually ranging from $5-$9. Many vendors also offer catering services. The Chamorro Village is popular on Wednesday night from 6pm-9pm when local entertainment is provided.
