Description

The natural phenomenon of bioluminescence has been captured by photographer Doug Perrine on the beaches of this island. I only wish that I could be there in person to experience this remarkable event.

A few species of phytoplankton are known as bioluminesce. When the tide wash them ashore, their energy is turned into light, sparkling in waves all around the world.
