Description
Angra’s Bay is believed to be the western seas’ port of call since the 15th century. Angra was a compulsory stop for every ship that crossed the Atlantic. Today, Angra’s Marina rests enveloped by the city of Angra do Heroísmo, one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site since 1983, due to its architecture. The Marina has excellent high-end complementary services, giving the city a fashionable touch of modernity.
Next to Angra’s Marina there is a beach, and, on the opposite side, you can explore the subaquatic archeological parks of the city. Being in them means diving into History: you will find a cemetery of anchors plus what is left of the wreckage of Lidador, a 19th century Portuguese ship. Angra’s Marina holds the European Blue Flag since 2006.
