Situated on the northern shores of Hartbeespoort Dam in the foothills of the scenic Magaliesberg Mountains, TYC (Transvaal Yacht Club) is only a 40 minute drive from Johannesburg and 30 minutes from Pretoria.
Since 1923 TYC has provided a stimulating environoment for yacht racing, cruising and youth development augmented by a warm climate, ample bird life and nature on our doorstep.
They encourage boats from the following classes: J27, J22, L26, Stadt 23, Mistral, Formula One and Hunters in line with existing fleets. All dinghies are welcome. The cruising class welcomes all types of boats up to 30 foot.
