The Miracle Beach is located in the urban front-sea city of Tarragona, located north of the port. This natural area has significant limitations when developing a waterfront project conventional as are the steep slopes and the barrier effect that produces the railway Barcelona-Valencia. Because this has happened historically is a disconnect between this strip of land off the city by the steep slope and the beach by the barrier of the railway. This area was severely degraded after being remodeled and has become one more piece in the network of open spaces in the city. This area is characterized by the presence of terraces that connect the historic core of Tarragona with the leisure of the harbor.
