Description

Bay in the Bahamas where pigs swim in the ocean up to your boat for food. If you visit, make sure you are in deep water so they cannot touch the bottom, otherwise you will find them in the boat with you. They have teeth and are not tame.

    This seems like a weird concept to me. Has anybody here experienced interacting with the pigs, and are any of them tame when on land?

    I wouldn’t call them “tame” in the pet sense. Best not approach them unless you have some sliced apples or something to give them. One tried to climb into the dinghy of a cruiser we know. Big Major’s Spot is a very nice anchorage right near Staniel Cay and Thunderball Grotto. Lots to do in the Exumas…my favorite cruising ground, so far.
