Dillon beach is a broad, sandy beach, at the mouth of Tamales Bay with plenty of space for families and weekend crowds. There are large sand dunes separating the beach from the parking lot. Access to the beach is privately owned and they charge $5 for parking. The parking lot is rather large and there are restrooms available near the entrance. The north end of the parking lot has a few picnic tables that are first come first served basis.
The water is suitable for lots of water sports. The north end will have larger waves from the south end. Conditions are dependent on swell and wind.
Dogs are allowed, but pitbulls are not.
