Description
A net strung across the mouth of the Los Angeles river provides an opportunity to realize how much plastic pollution enters the ocean daily through our watersheds.
Plastic objects float down riversheds and into the ocean, where they fragment into smaller and smaller pieces, absorb toxic chemicals, and enter the food chain we depend on.
The amount of plastics that is collected after a storm in the Los Angeles area is midblowing. Sometimes, there is so much plastics that it breaks the steel cable that holds the net.
