With the many types of races today (single-handed, classic boats, sunfish, CBYRA regattas) and with the many kinds of cruises the club now offers some type of event which should interest every member. And our growing membership also should insure that anyone wanting to go to Yopps Cove or up the eastern branch of the Corrotoman for a short overnight cruise should be able to find someone of like mind to make the journey with him/her. For after all, as Ferenc Maté said, “There is more to sailing than ropes and winches, cleats and bulging sails. There are faraway places [and nearby gunkholes] and the ever changing light, and the silence and a great peace at the bottom of your soul..”
