Established in 1983 by Jerej & Japec Jakopin. J&J; Yacht Design is highly regarded as one of the premier cruising yacht designers in Europe. As part of the Seaway Group based in Bled, Slovinia, J&J; is an integral component of this unique design, engineering and tooling company serving production and one-off sailboat builders worldwide. J&J; has been the recipient of Boat of the Year awards in France, Germany and the US for 17 separate designs.

The design facility now boasts a staff of 189 employing some of the most sophisticated design and engineering software available. This staff, in addition to 60 technicians, has dedicated itself to being a full service partner in the production sailboat industry supplying design, computer manufactured tooling and prototype development to 28 boat builders in 14 countries.
